UTair Europe

A subsidiary of the Airline established in November 2006 located
in the Slovak Republic. The company’s fleet consists of helicopters
Mi-8T and Mi-171.

It performs such operations as fire fighting, logging, monitoring, air
picketing. UTair Europe specialists regularly carry out complicated
installation works, mainly, installation of equipment on skyscrapers
in large cities of European countries.

Since summer 2008 UTair Europe has cooperated with European
companies – world leading manufacturers of ski-lifts, such as
Doppelmayr, Tatrapoma, Pomagalski. Helicopters Mi-171
were used to construct lifts at the European ski resorts in
Poland and Slovakia. Since May 2009 the company has performed
season fire fighting works in Turkey.

UTair South Africa

The UTair SA airline was established in 2005 and is located at the
Lanseria airport, SAR. UTair South Africa fleet consists of helicop-
ters Mi-8MTV and Mi-8T performing various types of work: fire
fighting, implementation of construction projects and creation
of infrastructure in the region, cargo transportation. 

The company performed works in Sudan under a contract with
Skylink and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo under a
contract with Rodeo carrying out geological explorations of
mineral deposits. 

In 2008 the company made a new contract for rendering fire
fighting services during the “dry season” period in the territory
of the Kwazulu-Natal province located in the eastern part
of the SAR.

The airline’s activity is dictated by the following lines of
development:

• expansion of the UTair South Africa activity in the
  continent territory;

• training of the personnel out of the local population;
• repair and maintenance of helicopters operated in
  the region.

Since 1991 UTair Aviation has actively participated in transport provision for peace-support missions carried out by the United Nations Organization. On the basis of contracts made with UN, the company’s helicopters successfully performed transportations in the territory of various countries, in particular in Yugoslavia, Angola, Cambodia, Mozambique, Somali, Western Sahara, the Central African Republic, East Timor, Eritrea, Haiti and Iraq.

At present the company is providing transport for peace-support missions in Sierra Leone (Africa), Liberia (Africa), the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire (Africa), the Republic of the Sudan (Africa), the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Africa), the Republic of Chad (Africa), the Republic of Nepal (Asia) and the Republic of Afghanistan (Asia). The tasks include procurement of the mission points, performance of passenger transportations, supervision and monitoring, VIP transportations, holding of negotiation, emergency and medical evacuation, support of police special platoons. 

At present, there are 62 helicopters in operation abroad under contracts with UN alone: 11 Mi-8T, 25 Mi-8MTV, 19 Mi-8 171/AMT and 7 Mi-26; over 600 persons of personnel.
