Airbus Helicopters Vostok summed up the results of the photo project "People and Helicopters" and presented awards to participants.
During the year, Airbus Helicopters Vostok collected stories of pilots and technicians who operate the manufacturer's helicopters, the best of them were published on the social media pages. Five employees of UTair took part in the project: Yuri Aristarkhov, Evgeny Ivushkin, Alexander Mashovets, Danil Trusov and Denis Yakovlev.
"Cooperation between UTair-Helicopter Services JSC and Airbus Helicopters Vostok has been going on for more than 10 years. During this time, a special department was opened in the Personnel Training Center of UTair where more than 280 employees operating Airbus Helicopters aircraft were trained. UTair-Engineering plant became an authorized service center of the manufacturer. Today, UTair-Helicopter Services is one of the leading operators of these helicopters in the world. We continue to solidify the partnership between our companies, which helps to implement the unique projects," commented Andrey Ilmensky, CEO UTair–Helicopter Services JSC.
Yuri Aristarkhov, an aircraft technician of UTair-Engineering JSC, provided helicopter maintenance during the various operations: support of the Winter Olympics in Sochi and the World Cup in Kaliningrad, video footage of "Salt", an American blockbuster.
Yevgeny Ivushkin is the only pilot in Russia who has experience in performing aerial works with a suspended automatic cargo capture system Bag Runner. This is a unique type of operation that is performed during seismic operations. The UTair crews under the direction of Yevgeny Ivushkin provided aviation support during the broadcast of the Olympic Games, also they performed flights to Baltika icebreaker ship. Total flight time of Eugeny Adolfovich is about 11 000 hours. In 2017, he received the award in "Best in profession" - the annual competition of the Helicopter Industry Association, and became the winner of the Internet voting in "Pilot of the year" nomination.
Alexander Mashovets is a pilot with 35 years of experience and a immense flight time of 12 500 flight hours. In 2017, he provided support for the prestigious international Silk Way rally. One of the longest (over 9 500 km) and most difficult rally raids in the world were held in three countries: Russia, Kazakhstan and China. The crews of two helicopters of UTair-Helicopter Services provided aerial footage for the television broadcast and race support to ensure evacuation with the medical module helicopter.
Danil Trusov as part of the crew of UTair-Helicopter Services provided video footage of the competitions and ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Sochi-2014. In the same year there was the first "Grand Prix Formula 1" in the history of Russia, which was also filmed from a helicopter. The total flight time of Danil Anatolyevich is more than 4000 hours.
Denis Yakovlev is a participant of several large-scale projects, with personal flight time exceeding 4000 hours. He took part in video filming of major iconic sports events, helicopter support of Silk Way rally, monitoring of oil pipelines and geological exploration in the mountains of Tajikistan.
