UTair - Helicopter Services Is on Medical Mission in Omsk Region

The Company was awarded a state contract with the Regional Clinical Hospital, Budgetary Health Facility of Omsk Region, within the framework of Healthcare National Project in the part of Provision of timely emergency medical assistance to citizens living in remote areas of the Russian Federation.

Air ambulance services are carried out by Mi-8 AMT helicopter in daytime. The helicopter is based at Omsk airport; it is fitted with twin medical module with the required equipment kit: cardiac monitor, pulse oximeter, defibrillator, respiratory medical device, etc. In addition, there is a possibility of connecting additional medical equipment on board and space for two medical personnel is provided.

"Performance of such flights is an important part of our company's operations in Omsk Region. In 2017 the total time of flights performed by UTair - Helicopter Services exceeded 900 hours. Conclusion of a new agreement with the Regional Clinical Hospital is an opportunity to provide emergency medical assistance to the residents of remote rural municipal districts. Using the specialized module, the doctors can maintain a patient's stable condition and vital functions on board throughout the entire flight," - noted Evgeny Ilchenko, Vice-President, Regional Director of UTair - Helicopter Services.

The company's helicopters perform aerial works to provide medical assistance in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Tyumen and Omsk Regions, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories. In 2018, the country's largest scope of work on medical missions was performed – more than 5.5 thousand flight hours. For the first half of 2019, the number of flight hours exceeded the same figure in 2018 and amounted to 3,027 hours.
