UTair Performed Unique Installation Works

UTair - Helicopter Services carried out unique works to replace a gas flare head at Muravlenko Gas Refinery in Yamal-Nenets autonomous district.
A multi-purpose Ka-32 helicopter was used for these works. The installation was performed at the height of 80 meters in two phases. During the first phase the outdated head was removed, and during the second phase a precision installation procedure was used with a set of catching devices to mount an upgraded head unit. Each of the heads weighed around 1.8 tons. their height and diameter were 3.5 meters and 2.1 meters respectively.
This installation was performed by the highly qualified crew of Captain Vladimir Platonov. His record of accomplishments includes implementation of such strategic projects as construction of facilities for Olympics-2014 in Sochi, aviation support of launch of oil loading terminal Gateway to the Arctic in the Kara Sea and other complex aerial works.
The similar projects for replacement of gas flare heads were also performed by UTair - Helicopter Services crews in 2017 in Gubkinskiy Gas-Condensate Facility in Yamal-Nenets autonomous district and on the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform Prirazlomnaya in the shelf of the Pechora Sea.
