Mi-26

Multipurpose heavy transport helicopter Mi-26 is a third generation helicopter following the line of development of heavy transport helicopters designed for transportation of self-propelled and non-self-propelled machinery and oversize cargo inside the cabin and on external sling with total weight of up to 20 tonnes. Mi-26 features high operating efficiency and is unmatched throughout the world in terms of lifting capacity. The helicopter is represented in single-rotor pattern with tail rotor. Pressurized cockpit and cargo attendant cabins are equipped with air conditioning systems. Dimensions of the cargo cabin in central fuselage allow carrying carious types of machinery and oversize cargo. For the purpose of mechanization of cargo handling operations the cargo cabin is equipped with cargo-lifting devices with elopers capable of lifting up to 5 tonnes and two cargo winches. The helicopter is fitted with on-board television installation with three video cameras and video monitoring devices which facilitate monitoring of machinery loading and sling cargo movement during flight. A clearance variation system is provided for oversize cargo loading. Main and tail rotor blades are fitted with electrical anti-icing system. Mi-26 helicopters are equipped with avionics making it possible to operate them for international flights and perform flights at any time of day and night in any weather conditions. The helicopter structure and equipment allow operating it while in stand-alone deployment at unequipped landing sites. UTair - Helicopter Services is the leading aviation company where Mi-26 helicopters are operated for the purposes of Russian civil aviation. The Company's pilots have set a number of world records on Mi-26 helicopters, and some of them have not been topped yet.
