Multi-purpose helicopter Mi-8T is a medium class helicopter. Reliable, simple and convenient operation of this helicopter made it the most commonly used around the world. Unique combination of flight, technical and operational performance made it possible to create more that 100 modification on the basis of Mi-8T helicopter. Basic modification of this helicopter in transport configuration is designed to carry passengers and cargo weighing up to 4 tonnes. In order to protect main and tail rotor blades and windshield from icing they are equipped with electric anti-icing system. The helicopter is fitted with a 150 kg hoist, and may be provided with pallet loading devices capable of loading up to 2.5 tonnes. The helicopter is also fitted with external sling system for transportation of oversize and large-scale cargo of up to 3 tonnes. The helicopter structure and equipment allow operating it while in stand-alone deployment at unequipped landing sites.
